{ 8:44 AM }
I am officially in second year. It hasn't really sunk in yet, like when you've had a bad experience but your brain just shuts things out saying that that didn't just happen, but in a good way. First day, orientation. Or freshers week as they call it in the UK.
I've always imagined this merge between cohort 1 and cohort 2 to be very "Survivor" ( the TV show) like. For those of you who don't know, Cohort 1 started their first year in September of 05 and Cohort 2 (me, included) started early Jan this year. Now, we have finally combined to form a single class of Year 2 students, with the elimination (aka departure) of a few we are now merged to a class of 38.
Very survivor like don't you think? If you don't watch survivor, you obviously wouldnt know jack lar.
The few lecturers have given us nooo pressure, none at all *wipes beads of sweat* regarding our new subjects, which by the way are just pretty boring.
My resolution for 2nd year:
a. do not procrastinate (actually been my resolution every year la. refresh can?)
b. work consistently and not take things lightly
c. read daily, law reports, text books, journals, cases. law everything la
d. update cases, almost immediately. almost because i need time to breath too k.
e. make notes NOT at the last minute
f. basically have no social life, stay in the cold library till 3 in the morning and be a frickin' nerd the brain the size of Mo Jo Jo Jo. whee~
g. do everything nerdy.
As you can clearly see, it's day one but the pressure's on. I'm so grateful I've got my bunch of lovely friends with me. I know I'm not alone and I'm sure we'll have crazy kick arse fun too.
